The restoration of the historic house has been an art of patience. The original architecture has been carefully preserved, and each solution has been chosen with the beauty of dignified aging in mind. Nõmme has its own silence – the kind that pine forests preserve. Fifteen minutes by train from the city centre, and a completely different world.
Wooden houses line the streets, each with its own face. A bakery is around the corner, a café among the pines. In summer, strawberries are sold at the market by the basket, and in the evenings the sound of a piano can be heard from somewhere far away. In autumn, there is a smell of a mushroom forest and chimney smoke. In winter, the trees hold the snow like a trapped soul, and the streets remain quiet even before dark.
